v1.3.0-beta
See and manage form responses and members can edit their responses
Tournament directors can now read every form response and decide whether members may change theirs.
What's new
See every response to a form
Each form now has a Responses tab next to Questions.
- Pick a member from the list to see their answers exactly as they gave them.
- Search the list by name or email.
- Questions someone skipped show Not answered. An option that has been removed from the form question still shows, marked Removed.
- Delete removes one member's response, for example a test submission or one that needs redoing.
Let members edit their responses
Each form has an Allow response edits switch in its ⋮ menu, in the form builder and on the forms list. It starts off.
- With it on, members can open a form they've submitted and change any answer.
- With it off, the form shows a Locked badge on your forms list, and members see their answers but can't change them.
- When a member edits, only the answers they actually changed are saved.
Members can see what they submitted
On the tournament overview, clicking a completed form in the Forms card now opens your answers, read-only.
- Edit next to it lets you change them, when the form allows it.
- When it doesn't, Edit is greyed out with a Locked badge saying to contact your tournament director.
- Editing goes one question at a time with your previous answers already filled in, so you can click straight through to the one you want to change. See How to edit your form responses.
Improvements
- Forms list rows are tidier. Edit, Preview, View responses and Allow response edits moved into a
⋮menu; publishing, archiving and deleting stay on the row. - Ranked-choice questions preview every option in the form builder, not just the first few.
- Deleting a response is recorded in the tournament's audit log, with the member's name and the form.
Fixes
- Members could open the form builder for a form they could fill out. They couldn't save anything, but they now see a No access page instead.
Deleting an account
Admins can now delete any account. Before, deleting someone who had answered a form failed.
- Deleting someone removes everything personal: their profile, experience, tournament memberships and form responses.
- Tournaments they own are kept, without an owner, so the tournament's history stays. The delete confirmation lists them, and an admin can give each one a new owner from its settings with Transfer ownership.
- Forms, invites and audit log entries they made are kept, and show Deleted user where their name was.
- You now type DELETE to confirm.
Worth knowing
- Deleting a response keeps what it filled in elsewhere. Availability, lunch, event preferences and track status stay on the member's profile.
- Admins deleting an account can't be undone. Lock the account instead if you only need to cut off access.
- Existing forms start with edits off. Turn Allow response edits on per form.
- Locked tracks don't stop form edits. A member editing their form response can still change answers about a track you've locked. Turn Allow response edits off as well if you want those answers fixed.
